Made In LDN x Today At Apple
As the world stopped & lockdown paused our industry, we decided to create a programme for young artists across the U.K. to learn and to grow so once our world began to move again, they were ready to fly.
I felt so blessed to work on a project where I was given the creative freedom to curate a programme without limits. With so many artists at home, we decided to reach out to some of the top artists within our scene… and they got involved. Over the course of five weeks, we met online, for interviews, workshops and discussions with some of the most inspirational new musicians, rappers and singers whose dedication and commitment to their future created a wave of inspiration at such a challenging time.
Shout outs to all the artists that made this possible, to the team at Apple for their endless hard work and to the young artists who gave us a glimpse in to the music industry of the future. Also to @basmakhalifa for documenting and creating such a reflective and honest piece of cinematography. This tells the story perfectly.
ABOUT MADE IN LDN
This summer saw @apple and #MadeInLDN partner once again with @Mayorofldn to take young artists from across the UK through a stacked out programme of workshops, talks and educational sessions. Guided by some of the music industries most respected voices, in collaboration with Today at Apple and East London creative arts youth space @weare_spotlight we set out to bring inspiration and connection during these times of separation and isolation. From an honest and open conversation with @Aitch and his management team to a music production workshop with @SGLewis. We hosted a lyric workshop with @youngtandbugsey and learnt about songwriting with @GraceCarter.
